Summer 2020 goes Virtual
First of all, I want to thank everyone for your patience as we have tried to figure out what we can and cannot do this summer. Youth Theatre will not be holding any in-person classes this summer.
I understand that many of you may not be interested in a virtual camp. I get it. My 12-year-old daughter's online school experience this spring was full of ups and downs. But, I just finished directing an online production with students ages 7 to 14 and I was so pleased with how Zoom rehearsals turned out. I was surprised by how the online platforms we used allowed me more time to get to know and work with students individually. For those of you with students who are missing a little theatre in their lives, we hope to spark their imagination and bring a little joy.
- We are offering classes for every age group: Kindergarten through 12th grade.
- We have Open Share opportunities for our entire community. Share your talents with us.
- We will even have an award show with our annual Rising Star and YTU Scholarship Awards.
Please consider following us on social media to hear about our events first.
I do hope you and yours are all doing well at this time.
Warmly,
Penny Caywood ~ Artistic Director
